What's this? The bottom of a jeans leg, from a pair that died and was sliced up for the scrap fabric. With the ragged top folded down and sewn to make a casing, this will be the Easiest Denim Skirt in the World.

No hemming, no side seams - just stitch the casing and insert elastic.

All done!

And paired with a white T-shirt. The shirt was also a scrounge job - I used the free "Trendy T-Shirt Guidebook" from Liberty Jane (download it here) and sacrificed an ill-fitting camisole for the fabric. It was my first time (seriously, first time ever) working with knit fabric, and...boy howdy, my wee Sew Mini did not like that.
Scrounge job or no, it all still looks way better than that ill-fitting stretchy shirt and pj pants the doll came with. And once you add in the tights (Springfield Collection from Michael's) and shoes, the overall effect is rather cute.

Hmmmmm .. .. .. I am going to have to see if Mama can do this one .. even she should be able to make that. Normally she just crochets because she cannot sew a straight line .. LOL!!
It turned out really cute .. you did a great job .. you are inspiring us ..
